Just walked through the door after seeing the show. It was another incredible show. When they played Run Like Hell as in the past while revving his guitar Damian was bathed in strobe lights. For me, one of the greatest moments in rock has been watching the beginning riffs of Run Like Hell with the strobes going off. The computer animated graphics projected onto the screen were much more varied and better than in previous years. There were lots of kalidescope type colored images, standard Pink Floyd tour footage and other visuals to keep it amusing and interesting. Aussie Floyd still barrages your senses with a complete multisensory experience. I went with my two sons aged 20 and 13. The 20 year old thought it was their best visual show and he's seen them 4 times, so if it worked for him that says something. As for the music Ian's vocals were incredible. He did sound better than ever nailing everything from Sheep to the Wall. The girls brought the house down with Great Gig in the Sky. The show really did blow me away again. They played the standard setlist with lots of old and new. It was a little jumpy going from One of These Days, which was mind blowing, to Hey You. My ears were still ringing from that screeching incredible solo. There were lots of new faces in the band. The keyboard player was great as was the bass player, sax and drummer. I missed the old faces but time keeps on ticking for us all. You are going to love it, The place was packed and the house was going crazy. Get yourselves excited about another mind blowing trip. |
